Alexis Johnson

Originally from Georgia, Dr. Alexis Johnson felt a calling to veterinary medicine at a young age. As a child, she wrote the word “vet” in her childhood Bible, a small but meaningful moment that inspired her to pursue her dream.

Dr. Johnson earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Savannah State University and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from St. Matthew’s University School of Veterinary Medicine. She completed her clinical training at the University of Illinois. Her professional interests include cardiology, diagnostic imaging, and dermatology. She enjoys providing compassionate, individualized care while building meaningful relationships with clients and helping pet owners feel informed and confident in their pets’ health.

Now calling Central New York home, Dr. Johnson enjoys traveling, trying new foods, reading, and watching movies. She has recently taken an interest in stock car racing and hockey. Most importantly, she loves spending time with her Chow Chow, Nala.
